The Capital 4 Development (C4D) Fund has sealed its first impact investment deal in Indonesia. The investment is to fuel the growth of CV Multi Rempah Sulawesi (MRS). MRS is engaged in consolidation and export of nutmeg and mace and other spices such as pepper, cloves, cacao, copra and dried ginger from three districts in Indonesia: North Sulawesi, South East Sulawesi and Maluku; to the Netherlands, Germany, Japan and other countries.
With the financial and technical support from the C4D Fund and the Nutmeg Value Chain Development program of ICCO Foundation and its local partners in Indonesia, MRS expects to upgrade further and expand its spice sourcing operations reaching 5,000 additional nutmeg and spice farmers and producers in Galela, North Maluku.
